When the Mets Retired #41

With the sad announcement that Tom Seaver is suffering from dementia, and will no longer be making public appearances it took me back to the day the New York Mets retired #41 at Shea Stadium. The day on July 24, 1988, among the parts of the ceremony that stands out is a special tribute song sung by longtime Yankees announcer Suzyn Waldman before she became associated with that team from the Bronx.
